Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Illinois Wesleyan University. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics (University of Tennessee), an M.A. in Economics (University of Pittsburgh), and a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics (summa cum laude, American University in Bulgaria).

I am broadly interested in public policy analysis. Much of my work centers on extracting causal estimates from experimental and observational data. When appropriate, I utilize interdisciplinary evidence to illuminate the behavioral mechanisms underlying empirical findings, and to highlight the unique experiences of certain populations. My research loosely falls into three categories: (1) college affordability; (2) health behavior and policy; and (3) behavioral and experimental economics. I am looking forward to fielding a large-scale information intervention using a representative panel in the foreseeable future.
